The Artists-in-Schools Program is designed to bring professional Artists in residency to county students, grades K-12. The program’s goal is to improve arts education for teachers and students by encouraging creative and self-expression during the four to eight week residency sessions.

Residencies are available in the visual arts, dance, and performing arts. The artist works with each of the participating classes for one hour per week for up to eight weeks as contracted. Lesson plans are developed according to the artist’s area of expertise and are California Standards-based.
