The mission of San Joaquin County Office of Education STEM Programs is to provide innovative programs that empower students, educators and regional communities to engage in learning experiences integrating science, technology, engineering and math. STEM Programs also provides professional learning opportunities for teachers related to the implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards.

Outdoor Education
Field trip programs for students at Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center along the banks of the San Joaquin River and the Sky Mountain Outdoor Education Center in the Sierra Nevada are designed to promote environmental literacy.

The state-of-the-art FabLab offers field trips that focus on engineering, coding and robotics.

STEAM Fair and other events for students
Each year San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) STEAM Fair awards thousands of dollars to students of San Joaquin County who exhibit superior levels of understanding and articulation in the area of science, engineering, technology and mathematics.

Delta Sierra Science Project
In partnership with the University of the Pacific, SJCOE STEM Programs is home to the Delta Sierra Science Project, which is a region of the California Science Project.

Summer Camps
SJCOE STEM Programs summer camps offer learning experience that extends fun, educational experiences into the summer months.
