Implications for Instruction


This training is designed for teams of educators, including classroom teachers, coaches, teachers on special assignment, and site administrators who play a role in supporting high quality education for English learners in the classroom.
Training Highlights:
• Connecting ELPAC task types to classroom instruction
• Advancing English proficiency through classroom practices
• Using the formative assessment process, creating interim assessments, and designating accessibility resources
Please note: This is not a training for the administration of the ELPAC assessment.

 

This professional learning is designed for teams of educators, including classroom teachers, coaches, teachers on special assignment, and site administrators who play a role in supporting high quality education for English learners in the classroom. Our session focuses on how to advance English proficiency through high-leverage instructional sequences.

 

Highlights:

 

·        Connecting ELPAC task types to classroom instruction

·        Creating ELPAC-like assessments in context

·        Sharing video clips, student work, and our reflections from the implementation of these practices

with English learners.
