STEM and Outdoor Education

The San Joaquin County Office of Education STEM Programs department provides innovative programs that empower students, educators, and regional communities to engage in learning experiences integrating science, technology, engineering and math. STEM Programs also provide professional learning opportunities for educators related to the implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). STEM Programs facilitates student initiatives at Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center, the SJCOE FabLab, and Sky Mountain Outdoor Education Center. The department also hosts student events such as the SJCOE STEAM Fair, Dinner with a STEM Professional, and STEM Camps during the school year and in the summer.
