The educational program at one.Pride is designed to address the academic and social needs of adjudicated youth who are at-risk of dropping out of high school. The program at one.Pride serves disadvantaged youth who are court ordered to serve six to twelve months in the program. The program at one.Pride focuses on attendance, behavior, academic progress, transition back into the community, and an appropriate school placement.


one.Pride offers:
  • Facilitates students transitioning to higher education (FAFSA, enrollment, assessment, registration, and scholarships).
  • Coordinates and supportes a cognitive-behavioral counseling program that combines education, group, and individual counseling.
  • Coordinates substance abuse prevention counseling services.
  • Academic counseling support; setting individual academic goals to increase the success of earning a high school diploma.
  • Identifies and refers of youth to Mental Health Services. Providing intensive California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) instruction and tutoring.
  • Coordinates and assists with the transition of students from PJHC to an appropriate placement in either a community school or comprehensive high school.
