Please join the SJCOE for the San Joaquin County 2020 Census Chalkathon!
Here’s how to participate:
1. Get your parent or guardian’s permission to grab some chalk and head outside.
2. Find a spot on the sidewalk to create your chalk artwork.
3. Include “Everybody counts!” and “2020Census.gov” in or near your artwork.
4. Take a picture of your masterpiece and ask your parent or guardian to share it on Facebook using the hashtag #SJCCensusChalkathon. You can also submit the picture to be shared on the SJCOE’s official Facebook page by emailing it to sjcoepio@sjcoe.net.
If you don’t have chalk, let your creativity shine using whatever supplies you have at home. Whether you draw or paint on paper or cardboard, or design your art digitally on a computer, we can’t wait to see your unique creation!
The Chalkathon will take place Sept. 14 through Sept. 30. We hope that by sharing your creations with others, we can inspire our community to complete the 2020 Census by the Sept. 30 deadline.
