Free Cash for College Workshops: E-Bus at SJCOE

If you are enrolled in college or planning to enroll, you can receive free assistance with the FAFSA, CA Dream Act and Chafee grant Applications!

The California Student Aid Commission is bringing the Cash for College E-Bus mobile application station to the SJCOE on Feb. 19!  If you are between the ages of 16-26 and in need of financial assistance for college, experts can assist you at the E-Bus mobile application station with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), California Dream Act Application (CADAA), and the California Chafee Grant for Foster Youth.  The Cash for College E-Bus is equipped with all of the tools you will need to complete the applications, including laptops computers, printers, scanners, and internet access! Please have your social security number (if applicable) and a valid email address.

Location:  San Joaquin County Office of Education, Wentworth Education Center, 2707 Transworld Drive, Stockton

 

If you are unable to visit the E-Bus at the SJCOE, it will also be stopping by San Joaquin Delta College at 5151 Pacific Avenue in Stockton on Feb. 28 between 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.  See attachment for more details.

COMPLETION *ONSITE GRANT APPLICATION ASSISTANCE FOR YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS; FOSTER YOUTH AGES 16-26; CHAFEE GRANT, FAFSA, & CADAA APPLICATION COMPLETIONE-Bus mobile application stations provide onsite assistance for youth and young adults between the ages of 16-26. Those who participate will receive assistance in completing the Chafee Grant and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In addition, those who are non-citizen without a social security card or had one issued through the Federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program will receive assistance with completing the California Dream Act Application (CADAA). The E-Busses are equipped with 12-16 laptop computers, printers, scanners, and access to the Internet, all in one convenient location!
