EXHIBIT, ENGAGE AND LEARN
We are excited to announce the 2nd Annual San Joaquin County Early Childhood Education Conference. This year’s conference will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the San Joaquin County Office of Education. We are preparing to host approximately 200 early educators.
As the only large scale conference for early care and education professionals in San Joaquin County, this event is a great opportunity to improve the early care and education experiences of our youngest children by providing quality professional development and networking opportunities that inspire, motivate, and rejuvenate early educators in the region.
Our theme this year is “STEAM – It’s Not Scary, it’s a Gas!” and our keynote and breakout sessions are designed to help early educators see science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) opportunities in everyday experiences. STEAM education is one of the best ways to prepare students for the world ahead of them - it allows children to use their imagination, and encourages them to look at a situation from a different angle. It also teaches critical thinking skills and encourages curiosity. And, there's no better way to keep children engaged in learning!
