Every year, the San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) hosts the Chronic Absenteeism Summit to tackle truancy head-on across San Joaquin County. The guiding principle of the summit remains clear: real, lasting change is rooted in relationships.

The San Joaquin County Early Literacy Community of Practice (COP) kicked off a new year on Thursday, Sept. 10, at a dynamic workshop-style session focused on strengthening literacy practices that support all learners.

The SJCOE met its goal of collecting 2,500 donated books to support Training Wheels, the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library's early literacy vehicle.
