Students in special education programs across San Joaquin County will sell produce and plants grown in school gardens, as well as crafts made in the classroom, at the SJCOE on Thursday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The 2025 Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention Award for Service Employee of the Year was awarded posthumously to Shonda Emery, who dedicated her life to supporting children in foster care.

Tune in to the livestream to celebrate all Teacher of the Year finalists and winners of the Classified Employee of the Year and School Counselor of the Year during the awards celebration dinner. The 2025 San Joaquin County Teacher of the Year will be announced at the end of the celebration.

The top two students from each division have advanced to represent San Joaquin County at the California State Spelling Bee Championship, scheduled for April 26, 2025, at the Great Wolf Lodge/Northern California.
The San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) is pleased to announce this year’s San Joaquin County Teacher of the Year finalists, Classified Employee of the Year winners, and the School Counselor of the Year winner.
