The School Readiness Rural Home Visitation project works closely with six San Joaquin County rural school districts (New Hope Elementary School District, Oak View Union Elementary School District, Banta Elementary School District, New Jerusalem Elementary School District, and Lammersville Joint Unified School District) to provide parents, teachers, preschool programs, and family child care providers resources to promote a positive school experience. The School Readiness Home Visitation project is funded through First 5 San Joaquin and serves families with children birth to five years of age utilizing the Parents As Teachers (PAT) home-based curriculum and the Raising A Reader (RAR) literacy program.
