Visual and Performing Arts

Exposure to music, theatre, and other arts enhances classroom learning of core subjects. Staff at San Joaquin County Office of Education believe that this exposure is important, a critical part of a sound educational environment.

SJCOE provides coordinated music and art services to which schools are invited to participate. Services include access to a library of music and art resources, the Artists-in-Schools program which brings professional visual and performing artists into local classrooms, and our annual Middle School and High School Honors Concerts for band and choir.
