Under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent Mick Founts, Ed.D., Student Programs and Services unites County Operated Schools and Programs, Educational Services, and SELPA/Special Education to help foster collaboration and shared efficiencies. Student Programs and Services works to help foster awareness and understanding of education issues and SJCOE programs. As a part of Student Programs and Services, the SJCOE Public Information Office guides the communication efforts of the County Office. SJCOE Productions is dedicated to creating high-quality video products that support the community outreach goals of County Office programs. Student Programs and Services also focuses on charter school issues by managing the relationship between the County Office and charter schools authorized by the County Board of Education and conducting procedures necessary for review of charter school proposals that fail at local school districts and are appealed to the County Board.
