Community Advisory Committee
Purpose Improve and promote communication between schools, parents and public agencies; increase community awareness; facilitate parent education and support; coordinate activities on behalf of children with exceptional needs. Members participate in special education program review and provide input to master plan, assist in the development of parent information materials, and awareness activities in understanding disabling conditions.
Membership Meeting monthly, membership is composed of school district board-appointed parents, educators and public/private agency representatives within the SELPA. Meetings are open to the public and are followed by an opportunity to discuss specific parent concerns and issues. Please click here to view the Calendar of Events for upcoming meeting dates.
Community Advisory Committee Business meetings are held at the San Joaquin County Office of Education, 2707 Transworld Dr., Stockton. Topic presentations and/or meetings are held monthly.
