Spelling Bee County Championship

The San Joaquin County Spelling Bee brings the best spellers in the county together for a competition designed to promote and acknowledge exemplary student achievement. These students previously won school or district spelling competitions in one of two grade categories--elementary division for 4-6th grades and junior division for 7-9th grades.

The Annual County Spelling Bee will be held in December at the Wentworth Educational Services Center at 2707 Transworld Drive. The county meet will be preceded by an elimination round at the County Office for the elementary division only. After the county championship, the winner and runner-up in both divisions will represent San Joaquin County at the State Spelling Championships to be held in the spring.
