Pinnacle Team

This school year marks the thirteenth year of the Record ’s Student Pinnacle Awards and Distinguished Student Designations. This program, sponsored by the Record, the San Joaquin County Office of Education and the University of the Pacific, honors outstanding high school seniors in San Joaquin and Calaveras counties who exemplify a well-rounded student career with the cornerstones being academics, student activities, and general citizenship.

The Pinnacle Team represents the top 1% of graduating seniors throughout the area and the Distinguished Student Awards recognize the next 4% of our student-citizens. Schools select the winners with the awards weighted as follows: 70% academics, 15% student activities, 15% citizenship.

Pinnacle Team winners are honored at a reception held on the University of the Pacific campus in April or May of each year. Invitations are sent to those chosen in the spring.
