Regional System of District and School Support, Region 6

The Regional System of District and School Support (RSDSS), Region 6 provides professional development and on-site technical assistance in evidence-based, effective instructional strategies, Professional Learning Communities, instructional leadership, and instructional coaching. RSDSS, Region 6 staff continually analyzes our participating schools’ circumstances, and matches each school’s needs with current research on best practice. Although we develop a spectrum of professional development areas and technical assistance practices that aim to bring effective instruction to scale, each practice is designed to converge into the same high-impact areas: student engagement, teacher collegiality, and strategic, effective instruction.

Mission Statement
RSDSS, Region 6 inspires effective action through the development of strategic, reflective educators.

Core Values
We promote efficacy* as we implement, self-monitor, and reinvent ourselves.

We champion craftsmanship as we strengthen our competencies and continuously improve.

We value consciousness through self-awareness, openness, and integrity.

We necessitate flexibility as we accept feedback, prompt reflectiveness, and challenge the status quo.

We require interdependence as we draw on the resources of others, acknowledge that conflict can make us stronger, and conscientiously build high-trust relationships.
