Warehouse Occupations for CalWorks Participants

Referrals are being taken for this twelve-week course for CalWORKs participants. This class is designed to prepare graduates for entry into the warehouse industry. Graduates of the ROP Warehouse Occupations course will be trained in warehouse/forklift occupations. Students will be trained in forklift driving, warehouse shipping and receiving, order picking and material handling jobs and tasks necessary to obtain employment as a specialist in warehousing, and other services incidental to storage and movement of raw material, working processes and finished goods. Job retention skills training is included in this course.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Good physical health and free from communicable disease
  • Reading and mathematics skills at 6th Grade level
  • Students are drug tested

    This is a 12-week program – 7 hours per day.

    Warehouse Classroom: (4 weeks) CalWorks Employment Center, 900 E. Oak 3rd Floor, Stockton
    Warehouse On-Site Training: (4 weeks) Department Of Aging Food Commodity Warehouse 2736 N. Teepee Dr. Stockton
    Community Classroom: (4 weeks) Business site placement (non-paid on-the-job training)
