Farm Management

Prerequisites
  • 16 years of age
  • 10th Grade Education or GED
  • California Resident
  • Current Photo Identification
  • Enrolled at Durham Ferry

    366 hours

    Course Objective
    The Farm Management Skills course is to develop skills, which are considered essential in the everyday running of the modern farm. This offering will break down major skills needed into three areas: Maintenance, Animal Husbandry, and Plant Husbandry. Individuals will be given the opportunity to work with specialized equipment and modern methods of animal and plant manipulation and treatment. Students completing this course will gain the skills and have the opportunity to apply for jobs, or be able to further their education post-secondary institutions.
