Reading Implementation Center (RIC)

The San Joaquin County RIC provides teachers and administrators intense, continuing professional development through SB472 and teacher or administrator training modules. Our training helps educators develop expertise in using the state-adopted framework, standards, and core reading/language arts programs in order to enhance the success of all students.

The RIC also supports teachers seeking National Board Certification, a rigorous professional development experience in which individual teachers commit to a year of study, reflection, and guided examination of their knowledge and practice. Teachers have the option of earning a Masters degree in Advanced Teaching Practice from Teachers College of San Joaquin in conjunction with national certification.
