The team from Venture Academy Family of Schools fought its way over two weeks of competition and six rounds of play to become the champion of the 2017 San Joaquin County Mock Trial Competition. Of the teams from 11 county high schools that began the competition, only four teams vied for the championship on Feb. 25, when the final two rounds took place at the San Joaquin County Courthouse in Stockton. They were followed by an awards ceremony at the Stockton Federal Building. As the winning team, Venture Academy will compete in the state competition on March 24-26 in Riverside County.
