The San Joaquin County Office of Education is proud to announce that 10 scholarships are available for the 2016 Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute to be held June 9-15.
Teachers selected to the institute will travel to Colonial Williamsburg, engage with historical character interpreters, and become a part of the Revolutionary City. Master teachers and historians will guide participants through interdisciplinary learning in Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, and Yorktown. Participants will engage in activities and develop materials that will be shared with other teachers and be used in their classrooms.
The application process is now open to fifth-grade teachers throughout the region and closes on Mar. 1.
