Program in Stanislaus County Enrolling More Intern Teachers

Partnership with Stanislaus and San Joaquin county offices of education brings Teachers College of San Joaquin to Ceres

A new group of students is set to start classes in January at the Teachers College of San Joaquin (TCSJ) IMPACT Program at its new location at the Stanislaus Institute of Learning in Ceres. IMPACT offers opportunities for candidates interested in pursuing a career in teaching while also supporting local schools during a statewide teacher shortage.

The expansion of the program is the result of a partnership between the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) and the San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) Teachers College of San Joaquin. According to Christine Sisco, director of induction at SCOE, “The partnership is incredibly positive. Teachers now have more opportunities to enroll in local credentialing programs beyond universities that are going to meet their needs without commuting.”
