STOCKTON — Actually, it is rocket science. And the fifth-graders circled around NASA research scientist Ruben Ramos might have been a little skeptical when they first filed in, but after forming their own solar system and playing with scale models of real-life spacecraft, they were sold. After trying their hands at everything from making pinhole projectors to experimenting with gravity, hundreds of wide-eyed kids forgot everything they ever heard about geeky or boring or hard. Science, it turns out, is fun.
