Teaching Opportunities for Partners in Science (TOPS) is in need of volunteers

Passionate about Science? San Joaquin County Office of Education’s Teaching Opportunities for Partners in Science (TOPS) program is looking for partners who are willing to volunteer 8-10 hours a month at an elementary school and teach science to students in grades K-6.

TOPS is a comprehensive partnership program to help schools tap into the science expertise that exists in the community. The TOPS partnership combines the knowledge and skills of the classroom teacher with the content and knowledge of the TOPS partner.

Cost: TOPS partners receive a $300 stipend, training, and materials. For more information about how to become a TOPS partner, call Nancy Stenzler at 209.468.4881 or click here to send her an email.
