On October 2, there will be endless possibilities for music enthusiasts as they celebrate the opening of one of the most advanced recording studios in this County. As part of one.Charter – Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, the expansion will benefit both the students and the community alike as it continues to broaden the choices for students seeking an alternative to the traditional school setting. Students can take their imagination, creativity, and passion to the next level, while getting involved in the arts around their community.

one.Charter – Academy of Visual and Performing Arts is a magnet for youth pursuing an alternative to their education in grades seven through 12. The school continues to create deep ties to its community by focusing on performing arts and integrating it throughout the curriculum. As a site of San Joaquin County Office of Education, one.Charter – Academy of Visual and Performing Arts is a free public charter school that embraces and encourages artistic creativity and offers a unique balance of academic and in-depth instruction in the performing arts. Through the passion and expertise of its current teaching staff, additional performing arts courses are offered in the afternoon, including percussion, guitar, voice, spoken word, and sound recording. 

one.Charter - Academy of Visual and Performing Arts’ Manteca location opened in August 2013. It is home to approximately 50 students, and hopes to expand to 150 students in the coming months. Applications are continually accepted from interested students.
