WorkStartYES will begin enrollment on July 1, 2014

WorkStartYES will begin enrolling out-of-school 16-18 year olds for the 2014-2015 program year beginning July 1, 2014! Out-of-school youth include youth throughout San Joaquin County that dropped out of high school, didn’t earn a GED or diploma, or graduated high school, but are not employed or currently attending college.

WorkStartYES is a joint partnership between the San Joaquin County Office of Education and San Joaquin County WorkNet. The WorkStartYES mission is to empower youth to achieve their maximum potential by exploring educational and occupational opportunities, developing leadership skills, and connecting with community resources. In order to fulfill this mission, youth are assigned a Career Developer that provides one-on-one assistance with developing and achieving a career and education plan. WorkStartYES youth have the opportunity to build their resume and develop skills through work-readiness trainings, job placement assistance, and college and industry tours.

If you would like to benefit from WorkStartYES’ services or know someone who may, please call 468.9221 to inquire about the income-based eligibility requirements.
