Discovering Robotics with the LEGO EV3
This is a fun, introductory class using the LEGO EV3 robotics system. Students explore electrical and engineering concepts, build various robots, and use the computer to program their robots to respond to their environment.

Power of the Microcontroller - Programming the Arduino for Grades 6-12
Microcontrollers are essentially computer brains on a small and usually very inexpensive board. Perhaps the most popular hobby microcontroller today is the Arduino. In this class students will learn the basic concepts of microcontrollers, then delve into programming the Arduino, including code writing and documentation, finding code resources, and program debugging techniques. Students will be able to prototype a large variety of electronic circuits to showcase many of the exciting capabilities of the Arduino.

Build an Arduino Robot for Grades 6-12
The Arduino microcontroller is a versatile, powerful, and inexpensive “brain” for robots. In this class students will learn the basics of programming the Arduino, including code writing, finding code resources, and program debugging. Participants will also build a motorized robot from scratch using acrylic plastic and electronic components. Students may keep their completed robots to take home and continue programming on their home computers for an additional materials cost of $80.

Exploring Robotics with the LEGO NXT for Grades 6-12
This class is for beginners and the experienced alike. It will be a chance to explore with the LEGO NXT through building a variety of self-chosen projects which can use pre-written programs, student written programs, or a combination of the two.
