JANE STEINKAMP SELECTED AS SJCOE DIVISION DIRECTOR

Jane Steinkamp has been selected to fill the position of Division Director of Operations and Support Services at San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE). As Division Director, Steinkamp will plan, coordinate, and direct the functions of maintenance, operations, purchasing, and facilities.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Jane to our SJCOE family, as a Division Director,” said Mick Founts, San Joaquin County Superintendent of Schools. “Jane is a quality person who brings a deep understanding of program, coupled with a leadership ability that will be essential in directing our operations and facility team.”

Steinkamp brings over 18 years of experience in education to SJCOE, the past ten years as the Assistant Superintendent at Linden Unified Schools District. Previously, she served as a Principal at Jefferson Elementary School District and as a high school English teacher at Tracy High School and Mount Eden High School in Hayward.

Jane Steinkamp graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts in English.  She received her teaching credential from National University, her Administrative Services Credential from California State University, Stanislaus, and her Masters in Administration from California State University, Hayward.  

Steinkamp is a wife and mother of two, who enjoys cheering her kids on in sports, scrapbooking, gardening, and traveling.

“I will miss the students and my colleagues in Linden because we have become a family over the last ten years,” said Steinkamp. “However, I'm excited to be embarking on a new challenge and to be joining the SJCOE team.”
