Mathematics Department
SJCOE’s Mathematics Department supports fourteen districts within San Joaquin County by developing regional leadership in math, by providing in-class coaching and modeling, by dissemination of information and providing professional development in Common Core State Standards.

Math Olympiad Tournament
For the 2011-2012 school year the Mathematics Department will be hosting the 2nd Annual Math Olympiad Tournament at SJCOE, formally hosted by the Student Events Department. Common Core Standards
California Common Core Content Standards for Mathematics were adopted in August, 2010. The Common Core Standards are focused and coherent, providing a clear understanding of what students should understand and be able to do for success in college and careers. The standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world.
