Comprehensive Health
Comprehensive Health Programs works with school districts, the community, and parents to promote the health and well-being of students by incorporating the eight elements of the Coordinated School Health Program. These eight elements include: health education; physical education; school health services; school nutrition services; school counseling and psychological services; safe and healthy school environment; school-site health promotion, and family and community involvement in school health. There is a clear link between student health and learning. Programs include: Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities (Title IV); Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE); 21st Century Community Learning Centers (GRASP IT) After School Program; School Community Policing Partnership Project ASPIRE; Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Family Life Education, HIV/AIDS Prevention; Safe Schools and School Violence Prevention; Disaster Preparedness; School Nursing Services; Medi-Cal Vendor; Medi-Cal Administrative Activities; Health Education and Physical Education.
