Current Board Member Gretchen Talley began serving on the San Joaquin County Board of Education in July of 1992 and was re-elected in 1994, 2000 and again in 2001. Ms. Talley represents Area 1, which includes the rural elementary school districts of Banta, Jefferson, Lammersville, and New Jerusalem. Unified school districts represented in her area include Escalon and Ripon and parts of Manteca, Lincoln, Stockton, and Tracy.
