Teaching Opportunities for Partners in Science (TOPS) is in need of volunteers!
TOPS helps schools tap into the science expertise in our local community
Are you passionate about science? Are you looking to give back to your community? We have an opportunity for you! The San Joaquin County Office of Education’s Teaching Opportunities for Partners in Science (TOPS) program is looking for “partners” who are willing to volunteer 8-10 hours a month at an elementary school and teach science to students in grades K-8. All volunteers will be trained and provided with the materials and lesson plans for teaching. TOPS partners range from retired scientists, engineers, physicians, teachers, and stay-at home parents to part-time science professionals looking to make an impact in their local community and share their passion for science.
For more information about how to become a TOPS partner, call Nancy Stenzler at 468.4881 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
